Re-enrol or confirm your registration for the new semester by the deadline Pay any outstanding tuition or semester fees Verify your student ID is valid and collect a new one if required Apply or re-apply for any grants, scholarships or bursaries that are term-specific Update your contact details and emergency contact in the student portal

Course setup

Download or print your official timetable and add it to your calendar Enrol in all required and elective modules before the add/drop deadline Obtain the reading list for each course and request library holds early Set up or log in to each course on the learning management system (e.g. Moodle) Note every assessment deadline and add them all to your calendar at once Introduce yourself to your personal tutor or academic advisor

Practical preparation

Stock up on stationery and any course-specific materials or lab equipment Renew your public-transport pass or buy a new semester ticket Check your laptop and software licences are up to date Locate key campus facilities (library, print room, study spaces, welfare office)

Wellbeing

Re-register with the campus GP or doctor if you moved accommodation Book a dentist appointment if you haven't had a check-up in the past year Find and note opening hours for the campus counselling and mental-health service Plan at least one non-academic activity or society for the semester
